The thin vessels (called telangiectasias) around your nose or on
your cheeks are small blood vessels near the surface of the skin. These are often formed as a result of sun-exposure. They sometimes occur in an area of more general redness.
Others, called spider veins, have a circular centre, with small veins branching out.
Both of these are easily treated with our Clarity II Laser.
We use precisely calculated pulses of laser energy directed to the vessel being treated. This causes the blood inside the vessel to heat up; causing the wall of the vessel to collapse. The vessel is reabsorbed naturally by your white blood cells. The skin surrounding the vessel is not affected by the treatment.
The number of treatments depends on the location and number of your thread veins. Clinical studies have confirmed that 1-3 treatments are usually needed,
,about 2 months apart.
No anesthetics is required, and many patients describe the treatment as practically pain-free. It can feel like a flick from a rubber band followed by a gentle warm sensation.

Is this treatment permanent?
Yes, the Clarity II can permanently remove vascular lesions. However, sun damage and pressure can cause new veins to appear.
Do I need more than one treatment?
You might need more than one treatment, depending on the location and amount of veins. You can come back 2 months after your treatment for a follow up.
Does it hurt?
There is very minimal pain with this treatment. It can feel like a tiny rubber band snap.
Is there any downtime?
Downtime is very minimal. There may be some redness or small scratch mark after the treatment.
